Massey University

Massey University offers a world-renowned veterinary program, which is fully accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the Australasian Veterinary Board Council (AVBC), and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). In fact, our veterinary school was the first in the Southern Hemisphere to be accredited by the AVMA. We are ranked fourth in the world by employers and no.25 globally for veterinary science in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings. Our veterinary school has four on-site clinics (companion animal, production animal, equine and wildlife), as well as 2000ha of university farms. The Massey University veterinary teaching hospital has a 24-hour pet emergency centre and is home to New Zealand’s only dedicated wildlife hospital. Our Veterinary Science and Veterinary Technology students are well trained in a broad range of species, and have the opportunity to track in their area of interest in their final year.
