University of Adelaide
The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences is located at the Roseworthy Campus, which comprises 1600 Ha of productive farmland about 50 km north of Adelaide. Since the first intake of students in 2008, the School has developed a suite of outstanding teaching, research and clinical service activities that support three educational programs – Bachelor of Science (Animal Science), Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. The School provides an excellent educational environment due to a combination of newly built facilities and unrivalled opportunities to gain practical, hands-on experience with animals. The current total enrolment is approximately 600 students, 150 of whom live in residential buildings on the Campus. The School is accredited with the Australasian Veterinary Board Council and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and has affiliate membership with the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC).
